I view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership, and find the relational aspect of therapy to be an integral piece in making strides towards meeting the clients needs and goals. Confronting the difficulties and pain in life is often challenging and uncomfortable—as such I strive to create a safe space for my clients to process authentically. I know each client is unique and work to meet the client where they are, with empathy, humor, support, challenge, and encouragement throughout our journey together. I offer services for clients of all ages, and have experience working with a wide range of diverse clients. I specialize in working with children and adolescents with a wide range of presenting issues utilizing directive and non-directive play therapy depending on the client, and am careful to involve caregivers throughout the process! With my adult clients, I often employ an integrative approach in order to meet my clients where they are in the moment. Balancing direct feedback with empathy and understanding are the cornerstones of how I conduct therapy. Change is difficult, and creating a safe and open space to cultivate a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for moving forward. To better serve my clients, I offer some weeknight times as well as Saturday hours, and a sliding scale payment option.
