Starting in 1973 I’ve worked at two on-campus crisis intervention centers; medical and psychiatric hospitals, an alternative education high school, ran a residential program and provided countless interventions in all forms of crisis. Since 2011 I worked through the ER of our local hospital, as a certified Recovery Coach for the ER, and a Substance Use Disorder Team, where I stayed current with the new diagnosis, treatment, and therapeutic innovations through ongoing training with Harvard’s Continuing Education program, C4, and numerous scholastic educational platforms. Clearly, my calling is helping to overcome addictions. Trained by Jeff and Debra Jay in Love First, and by Dr. Judith Landow in Arise intervention methods, the Pennsylvania Certification Board awarded me the Certified Intervention Professional (CIP) designation and produce a weekly YouTube VideoCast called: “Addiction-Got A Minute?” that shares my findings. I’m not your normal counselor. I’ve “been there and done that” enough to know what I’m talking about, and don’t point fingers. I believe legal cannabis is great, but know ANYTHING done to excess can kill you. Don’t be afraid to call with questions. I don’t want to squash having fun and have learned that there are a lot of ways to stop the insanity.
