Therapist Overview
Many kids and teens struggle in the traditional model of talk therapy. Trauma, anxiety and depression can sometimes make connecting with a therapist intimidating and exhausting. I offer animal-assisted therapy and mindfulness to individuals who have tried it all and have been frustrated with their results or maybe just desire the comfort of an animal during sessions. My warm, compassionate, collaborative, and easy-going approach allows you to relax, trust, and feel safe enough to explore the difficult aspects of your life so healing can begin. Clients can meet me in the barn at my farm location or at my office location in town. The farm invites you to find peace and quiet from your everyday life which makes it easier to open into your true self. Integrate horses, dogs, cats, guineas pigs, a parrot and more into your session. Together we will process your trauma, anxiety or depression. If you, your child or adolescent is struggling at school or work, with friends and family or is experiencing an overwhelming sense of general despair, I am here for you. Together we can begin to define the issues, bring awareness to your patterns of coping, introduce new solutions and nurture the process with loving kindness.
