Therapist Overview
CURRENTLY FULL – I am still able to provide letters for transition related surgeries. Do you identify as queer, trans, or anywhere else on the LGBT+ spectrum? Struggling to find a therapist who understands the unique challenges you face in life? Tired of explaining to professionals what dysphoria and hormone replacement therapy are? Worried you’ll be judged for being in an open/polyamorous relationship? Maybe you’re coming to address depression, anxiety, or a host of other problems, and you just need a therapist who understands how it doesn’t always feel safe to hold your partner’s hand in public. I have experience helping people address problems and challenges related to being queer or trans, including building relationships and decision-making around transitioning. I also have significant experience helping people process and heal from trauma and abuse. I use primarily EMDR and internal family systems for this work. Whether your sexuality/identity is the focus of treatment or not, my office is a safe space where you will be understood without endless explaining or ignorant questions. Additionally, I strive to make counseling accessible regardless of insurance coverage. Send me an email or give me a call to set up a free 15 minute consultation.
