Therapist Overview

What I feel I have to offer people is a helpful relationship based on acceptance and safety. My hope is always that together within this supportive relationship you can feel free to explore your thoughts, feelings, strengths, challenges and choices. I’ve found that understanding and accepting where we are gives us a strong foundation to sustain positive change. In over 30 years of professional experience, I’ve never worked with a person whose conditions/situations did not make sense, once these experiences have been understood. Contrary to the belief of much of the public, including many medical professionals, the “chemical imbalance” theory has never been proven as a cause of “mental illness.” It has been a privilege to help people know they are normal and that they have the capacity for positive growth. Facilitating training to support others in the helping professions, and performance consultation/training are another important part of my practice, as a Certified Clinical Supervisor
