I practice individual and couples therapy with the aim at co-creating an environment that will serve as a platform for in-depth understanding of each person’s doubts, emotional needs, and conflicts, as well as recovering from trauma that lives within, but which may go back to early life. The aim is to increase insight and learn how to open up and communicate, letting thoughts and feelings come up from within. Thus the purpose is to both simultaneously discover and cultivate Intrinsic power. “Intrinsic Power” refers to a sense of mastery, competency, and potency in one’s dealings with the world of things and with the world of people. There is a sense of being effective, of having an impact, of mattering. It is the power to think, to feel, to know- to experience the creative workings of the mind. It is the power that comes with access to one’s own will, with secure sense of self, of one’s legitimate place in the world, and in one’s relationships.
