Therapist Overview
I specialize in providing counseling to children and adolescents. An important part of working with kids and teens includes supporting the parents/guardians/grandparents who are caring for them. So, in working with kids and teens, I also work with their caregivers. I have over 15 years experience in providing counseling to kids and teens who may be struggling to be successful at school, make friends, feel good about themselves, get along with family members, follow rules, be respectful, feel they belong, adjust to change or simply to experience joy in their lives. I treat children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, attention and concentration difficulties, aggression and anger, frustration, grief and bereavement, trauma and abuse, and social skills deficits. I provide counseling to kids and teens who are adjusting to foster care and adoption. I also support kids and teens in the special education system, with IEP’s and 504 plans.
