Therapist Overview

Serving children and families has always been a passion of mine. As a preschool teacher I recognized that many families have a great need for intervention and support. The needs that I saw, directed me towards metal health counseling and my true passion to work with and support children. I believe in the strength of the relationship between parent and child, and their natural ability to self-regulate and achieve success. I aim to guide parents and children to communicate effectively, understand their own internal motivation and to strive for stronger relationships. I recognize the impact that trauma has on individuals and their family. I can help guide them through the healing process and learn to make new meaning from these experiences. My style is one of inclusion, openness, and unconditional positive regard. I also enjoy brining play into my sessions and I know that laugher can be as healing as tears.
