I support and equip educators on all levels who are challenged with maintaining a sense of balance between providing a service to meet the needs of their students/school and living a mentally, emotionally, and physically healthy lifestyle. Clients learn to identify types and sources of stress, frustration and the general feeling of being overwhelmed. They are guided through the process of evaluating the value placed on their own well-being and developing an individualized and flexible self-care plan. Clients also receive treatment to cope with trauma, parenting, life transitions, etc. As a former teacher and school-based counselor, I am able to identify with many of the challenges of working in schools and the weight of stress that can be experienced without appropriate support and healthy coping mechanisms.
