Therapist Overview
Everyone needs relationships. Whether you’re looking for a safe, healing relationship within which to explore and repair past hurts or trying to mend or strengthen existing relationships, I’m here to help. I believe personal growth requires a supportive and secure environment, and I’ve been told my warmth and humor have put clients at ease as we seek to understand what they are wanting from therapy in order to increase meaning or satisfaction in their marital, parenting, family, friendship, work and spiritual relationships. Walking with clients as they let go of old patterns and learn new ways to live more authentically is an honor. I primarily understand client concerns through the lenses of attachment and trauma theories. While always remaining client-centered, approaches I use include Emotion Focused Therapy for couples, Somatic Experiencing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (including DBT and ACT), and relational interventions. I have also been trained in life coaching and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. If you’d like to learn more about any of these approaches or explore whether we might work well together, I’d be glad to hear from you.
