Therapist Overview
I enjoy my career, while working with kids of all ages and their families. My approach to kids is that of a growing and developing person, within a family. I place a strong emphasis on inclusion of parents in therapy, I feel no one knows or influences a child more than their parent. I use a variety of methods of therapy to build strong and helpful relationships with kids and their families. Some of these methods include play therapy, parent child therapy, family therapy and parent education. Each child’s plan is created according to their need. I have three major groups of clients in my work with children. Kids who have experience Developmental Trauma, with resulting emotional and behavioral issues; kids who are working on attachment to an adopted/foster family; and kids who have Autism Spectrum disorder and its resulting impact on their families. I strive to stay state of the art in my knowledge of interventions for kids issues. I use a multi-service approach to issues. In addition to
