The poet, Rumi says “[We] are born with wings so why do [we] prefer to crawl through life?” My job as your therapist is to help you find your “wings.” Many of us are cocooned in trauma or angst of some sort waiting for that moment to emerge in our own beautiful unique ways. As your therapist, I strive to validate you and help you reach your goals being ever aware of your environmental context and its unique challenges. I also understand you see your world through the lens of your culture and lived experience. We live in a time when people are often marginalized such as our LGBTQ+ community.
