Therapist Overview

Finding the right therapist can be hard. Maybe you’re facing difficult experiences of grief and loss, serious illness, or family conflict. Maybe you’re wrestling with depression or anxiety. Or maybe you just have a general sense that your life has lost meaning and direction. Whatever brings you in, I’ll offer a warm-hearted and positive space for us to learn together about your particular situation, and about the possibilities for healing and transformation that can be found within it. Having someone to talk to makes a real difference. My background–as a hospice grief counselor, a Buddhist monk, a writer, editor, and teacher–informs how I approach therapy. I’m strongly committed to engaging with and learning from you as well. Part of what we’ll do together is connect with sources of nourishment, wisdom, and joy in your life, even if you aren’t yet sure what those are! I hope you’ll refer to my website for more information about me and the ways I generally work. If you’d like to talk
