Therapist Overview
I specialize in helping people make changes to their substance use, whether that be moderation or abstinence. While it may not have started out this way, drinking and using can disconnect you from the things that matter most to you. Sometimes people find themselves doing things and thinking in a way that eventually becomes unhelpful. Additionally, you may feel depressed or anxious, and struggle in your relationships. Making a change is not easy. If you are considering making a change for the first time, or maybe you’ve tried many times before, therapy may be a next step. In therapy you can explore what, if any, changes you want to make and learn skills to meet your goals. You may not feel ready to change. That’s ok. My work focuses on meeting you where you are with a non-judgmental and collaborative approach. I rely on research, clinical experience, and an understanding of you as an individual to guide our work together. I believe people can make changes in their lives and, in the process, feel a sense of hope and empowerment. I offer a free, brief phone consultation to help decide if starting therapy with me is a good fit for you. I am contracted with Lyra Health and Modern Health. I offer both in-person and videotherapy appointments.
