Stressors from a certain environment, situation, or life event naturally influence the patterns that we develop. These patterns stick and become what we fall back on. Sometimes they are beneficial, and sometimes they can hold us back and interfere with our goals and relationships. My work focuses on helping you take control of past and present stressors to create the environment and opportunity you need in order to be successful in your own life. That may mean working with you on relationships, self-esteem, grief and loss, resolving trauma, or adjusting to a new life experience. My therapy is eclectic, from Cognitive Behavioral, where patterns of thought about the self and world are addressed to change unwanted behaviors, to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). With EMDR, a mind and body approach is used to heal symptoms and emotional distress which results from disturbing life experiences.
