Therapist Overview
My approach with children, adolescents and their families is called Brief Intermittent Therapy. I find that it works best for kids to come in for a defined brief period of time (such as 6-8 weeks) and focus on one specific area that needs attention. The time in therapy is more concentrated and effective. When the need arises, the client can return. My clinical work with children and families began in the early 1990’s. Much of my career has been spent helping kids in schools. I have successfully supported clients during times of crisis, transition, and struggle. I can help with anxiety, depression, peers, LGBTQ+ issues, and post-concussion support. I invite you to reach out and see if we would work well together. I am increasingly working with teletherapy, which provides more autonomy and flexibility. I also meet with clients in person. I’m happy to discuss what works best for you or your child.
