Therapist Overview
The people I thoroughly enjoy working with the most are those that are tired of living a less than desirable life. They may not be sure how to get to an empowered, joyful, passionate way of life yet. They can sometimes describe their journey as traumatic, and they use words like “depressed”, “fearful”, and/or “anxious”. However, there’s something tugging inside of them that there has to be a way out of that dark, overwhelming hole that they currently call life. They want more for themselves even if it only starts with a small glimmer of hope. No two people are ever just alike. My approach when it comes to therapy is that treatment needs to be individualized, not cookie cutter. What may work for one person may not work for another. I draw from several theories that include cognitive behavioral therapy, gestalt therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, strength based therapy, and solution focused. When I picture someone struggling with feeling defeated, beat down by life, and perhaps even hopeless, my heart goes out to you. Please know that there are people out there, such as myself, that want to help you get back on your feet. Not only do I want you back on your feet, but I also hope that you live life from a joyous and powerful place.
