Considering the impacts of current life stressors, past experiences, environment, lifestyle, and relationships creates a better understanding of barriers to wellness. I view the relationship between client and counselor as a collaborative opportunity to take healthy risks and lean into discomfort. Through the use of a holistic perspective we will work together to address immediate difficulties while also exploring the root causes of distress. I utilize a trauma informed approach to counseling while incorporating EMDR, Nature-Based, Narrative, and Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral therapies. I work with new mamas and mothers-to-be and individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and stress-management and individuals wanting to work on reprocessing past difficult experience. We all need a place to feel safe and supported while we explore and process life experiences. My approach to counseling is compassionate and non-judgmental.
