Therapist Overview

I specialize in treating young children, adolescents, and teens. I have spent 15 years working in North Carolina public schools. I began my career as an elementary teacher and later furthered my education to be a school counselor. After a few years, I decided to work in the mental health field and obtained credentials to be a Licensed Professional Counselor. Over the past seven years, I’ve done Intensive In-Home and Outpatient therapy. I am credentialed in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). This therapeutic approach is effective for those 18 and under who have experienced some type of trauma. I also do Cognitive Behavioral and Play Therapy to treat a range of disorders, including ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. I have two office locations, Durham and Graham. Due to an abundance of clients, I am unable to accept new referrals at this time.
