Therapist Overview
As a therapist with multiple intersecting identities, I understand our mental states are products of our social states. I aim to work collaboratively with the client to help access and utilize the strengths and resources they inherently possess. My areas of clinical interest include anxiety, depression, substance use, life transitions, eating issues and body image, minority stress, trauma and identity concerns. I have a particular interest in supporting those who are LGBTQIA+ identified and other marginalized and oppressed populations. I integrate a strength-based, healing centered approach drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic, mindfulness, and harm reduction techniques to support the individual goals of each client. My practice is deeply grounded in a humanistic, antiracist, systemic, intersectional framework as well as feminist, queer, and multicultural orientations.
