Therapist Overview
I’m interested in helping individuals, couples, marriages, and families improve their relationships and quality of life. My background in teaching also makes me especially suited for working with children using sand play, games, and art in addition to traditional talk therapy. I’m trained in systems therapy, which means I view problems and solutions holistically to include the entire family and their natural home, work, and school environments. Therapy can provide a space that fosters the natural healing process within each of us and I enjoy supporting people on this journey. I began my education with a Bachelorās in Special Education, gained life experience as a stay-at-home mom, and discovered an interest in counseling as I walked through my own healing journey. I obtained my Master’s in Counseling from Bethel College and am currently working toward Marriage and Family Therapy licensure. I use a down-to-earth, relaxed approach to therapy and like to use humor in addition to research-based therapeutic techniques. Laughter is good medicine!
