Therapist Overview
I always work from a holistic framework in order to meet the needs of my clients. My main forms of therapy are solution-focused and person-centered therapy, but I also use cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, reality therapy, mindfulness, play and art therapy, and sand tray therapy. I believe that the therapy room is a safe place to explore the self, the past and the possibilities for the future, with a focus on strength, resilience, and balance. Since 2010 I have worked with a variety of adults, adolescents, and children in all kinds of situations, mental health issues, and other issues in their life. I have significant experience with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, suicidality, self-harm, stress, relationships, and self-identity. I also offer office times after 5 and on Saturdays. I have always viewed my practice like this: You can’t start fixing the house until you clean up the glass on the floor. And that’s where I try and start, taking care of the immediate problems as much as possible so we can focus on reaching where you want to be.
