Therapist Overview
Our experiences, positive and negative, shape how we think, feel, and participate in the world. Sometimes we can end up in a place where we feel depressed or anxious, have difficulty in relationships, or lack a sense of identity. I strive to provide a space where all of the things that leave you feeling stuck are welcomed as essential to the process of healing. I will collaborate with you to help manage overwhelming feelings, integrate traumatic experiences, and discover important patterns. I focus on developing a safe and trusting relationship in therapy, which provides the opportunity to explore painful experiences and celebrate meaningful change. I will also highlight patterns of relating to expand personal insight and growth. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and recognize the significance of race and gender in the formation of identity. I earned my Master of Arts (M.A.) in Counseling Psychology at The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology in 2014. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Western Michigan University. I have worked with adults and adolescents in community mental health and university settings in Seattle, Chicago, and Grand Rapids.
