I am a licensed clinical social worker with 18 years’ experience working in the mental health and addiction treatment field in various settings including; substance abuse treatment, residential and outpatient mental health treatment, schools and hospital medical clinics. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults. My counseling style incorporates solution focused brief therapy, motivational counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness therapy. I draw from my past clinical experience to incorporate a variety of styles, depending on the needs and interests of the client. I believe the therapeutic alliance that is created between a client and a therapist is a powerful bond that can allow for growth and healing.
