Therapist Overview

Whether you suffer from depression or anxiety, or are having trouble finding your way through a difficult situation, I can help you find new — and more effective — ways of coping. Using a non-judgmental approach, along with proven therapeutic techniques, I can provide a safe place for you to explore new ways of thinking and responding to challenges in your life. I have experience in crisis response from working in the Duke Hospital emergency department, as well as substance abuse training from working at RJ Blackley Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment center. My goal is to help you see that you can feel better, and to empower you to make the changes you need for the life you want. I can treat depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, relationship issues, and personality issues. I use evidence-based modalities, including CBT, EMDR, DBT, motivational interviewing, and cognitive processing therapy. Call or email me. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
