Therapist Overview

I believe people perceive their world through experiences, socialization, belief systems, values, and cultural norms. These perceptions create “thinking” norms and subsequent feelings leading to patterns of behavior. It is human nature to hold onto these perceptions even when they are ineffective and non-productive. Most people want to be cared for and freed from fear, which comes in many styles, shapes, and colors. Resolution of issues encompasses a higher and more rewarding level of functioning than previously held in spirituality, individuality, relationships, family, the workplace, and so many other nuances in one’s life . My specialty is adolescent sex offender treatment of both perpetrators and victims, along with family members. Counseling with adults is imperative to effect change within the family.
