Therapist Overview
[At capacity right now] Often, behaviors that limit us result from beliefs and feelings of which which we are not aware. To this end, my approach goes beyond coping strategies; I offer therapy that focuses on how we relate to ourselves and others as the key to a more fulfilled life. I believe that what creates disconnection in our relationships is not always obvious and that conventional knowledge can leave us feeling unprepared to navigate relational challenges. I specialize in insight-oriented (psychodynamic) therapy. I view the therapy process as a collaboration in which new language to name experiences is developed, resulting in expansion of perspective and increased options. I also offer psychoanalysis, a longer-term form of depth-oriented treatment occurring multiple times per week. This way of working is best suited for individuals who feel curious about their mind and about the internal aspects of their struggles. Its benefits are long-term change, especially personality change
