Therapist Overview

My work with clients is always with a heart-centered approach; listening and understanding each individual’s experiences and offering a safe and non-judgmental place for expression. As a therapist, I can assist you with coping, stress reduction and emotional difficulties. I work with teens, adults and elders struggling with trauma, substance use disorders, anger issues, domestic violence, depression, anxiety and grief. My training includes EMDR through the Parnell Institute which addresses PTSD but also smaller relational traumas which can cause anxiety, depression, fears and low self worth. I am involved in on-going training in Hakomi methods (mindful somatic psychotherapy) which works to transform limiting beliefs about self and opens us to new possibilities. I also have training in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) which offers a compassionate approach for individuals to express various “parts” of themselves that may act and react to other people and situations.
