Therapist Overview

As a person centered and trauma focused therapist, I enjoy helping others who are in need of peace, recovery, and healing. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with eating disorders, body image issues, depression, grief, anxiety, mood disorders, and other co-occurring issues in multiple levels of care. I have a background as a school social worker and medical social worker in which I bring tremendous experience in working with complex family situations, multidisciplinary teams, and through a lens of growth and change. I operate primarily from a cognitive-behavioral (CBT) orientation with a combination of other theories and attention to attachment and trauma. I also utilize Dialectical (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Motivational Interviewing and incorporate family work/repair with family systems techniques. I also offer Clinical Supervision to Supervisees seeking licensure from the Board of Virginia.
