Therapist Overview
Helen Keller once said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” This quote resonates with me because, as a therapist, I have had the privilege of walking alongside people during times when they have felt alone, vulnerable, or overwhelmed. With my help, they learn to “listen” to their emotions and gain more control. So often, when we are alone during a difficult time, our ability to see beyond such challenges becomes compromised. Our vision narrows and hope dims. But through the collaborative efforts of the client and the therapist, healing, growth, and change can happen. Hope is restored. I recognize that people experience various challenges in life and that some of those are quite traumatic. I have a passion for helping people process such experiences in a way that empowers them to live unburdened and more fully. As such, another approach I incorporate in my practice is EMDR, which is specifically geared toward helping people resolve trauma.
