A child’s behavior is telling a story of what is going on inside. Many times, when our kids are reaching out for connection, they will behave in ways that create the opposite response. When a child is struggling to find positive ways to relate, our team of therapists come alongside them and their family to help them feel more understood, empowered, connected and loved. I believe in conducting therapy in partnership with families, pediatricians, teachers, and other specialists to ensure that each child receives a personalized treatment plan that is reinforced in all settings. We specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, attachment difficulties, anger, depression, divorce, behavioral problems and regulation disorders, as well as with adopted children. Michelle is a Certified Clinical Trauma Counselor and a member of the Association of Play Therapy, and International Association of Trauma Professionals. She is also trained in EMDR.
