I am experienced in helping children and families who have been affected by trauma and are dealing with anxiety, stress, depression and other symptoms related to childhood trauma. Additionally I am comfortable working with children who display severe behavioral issues. I have provided individual and family therapy for children in a Residential Treatment Facility and I’m well-versed in the Foster and Adoptive systems. I also help families struggling with communication issues and parents experiencing attachment difficulties with their children. I use a wide variety of therapeutic approaches to meet my client’s individual needs. I am an LCSW with a focus on helping children and families. I utilize many therapeutic “tools” in my toolbox including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Other methods include family systems therapy, communication-based family therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy’s “P.A.C.E.” techniques and a variety of CBT skills.
