Therapist Overview
I believe that we all have the ability to make positive changes within our lives. When we are struggling within our relationships, with our work or with ourselves, we may not realize that we already have many of the tools we need to navigate difficult situations and feelings. Through a trusting therapeutic relationship, we can discover strategies to unlock these skills and alleviate stress. I strive to create a warm, empathic and collaborative environment to help clients uncover their strengths and make lasting change. I work with individuals and couples who are experiencing difficult life transitions, depression, anxiety and grief and loss. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) depending on clients’ goals and individual needs. I earned my Master’s degree in Community Counseling and completed my practicum at P.A.C.E, an alternative school for young adults. Post graduation, I have worked in managed care, social service agencies and as a hospice bereavement counseling fellow.
