Therapist Overview
The world is changing quickly and we are definitely feeling the impact. Feelings of being stuck, anxious, frustrated and depressed can be difficult to navigate. Finding time to process your feelings and repairing ruptures in your life and relationships may feel more stressful now. I want to help. I am curious about your world, how you experience it, how you are connected to it, and your desire to make positive change. In session I use active listening, with a focus on compassion without judgement. I am also willing to ask direct questions, with honesty and sense of humor, which I find clients appreciate. In individual counseling, we will collaborate to develop and refine goals that meet your values and needs. We’ll work together to identify and connect to your strengths, support systems, and give you tools to cope during difficult times. For couples, we’ll identify patterns, often slow things down, then help you work to through relationship concerns. My experience includes working with adults struggling with anxiety, negative communication patterns, relational and intimacy issues, domestic violence, divorce and parenting issues. My desire is to help you process the feelings you easily access during time of feeling stuck and sometimes lonely, and help you in your journey toward healing.
