Therapist Overview
Many women find themselves struggling with feelings of anxiety, depression, inadequacy and exhaustion while moving through various times in their lives. These times can feel challenging, such as navigating pregnancy and the postpartum months, parenting, separation, divorce, and co-parenting. And some of these times can be devastating, and sadly include pregnancy loss or infant/child loss. Other younger women may struggle with the uncertainty of navigating college life, loneliness, peer and dating relationships, and career decisions. After 16 years of working in women’s care at the University of Kentucky, I am now also helping women in the community through my private practice. I have spent many years helping women with college adjustment, depression and anxiety in pregnancy and the postpartum time period, miscarriage/infant loss, substance use, parenting and unhealthy relationships. I aim to provide a compassionate, comfortable, and relaxing environment where we can work together to help you move through days that may feel confusing and overwhelming, into days that feel more peaceful and joyful.
