Therapist Overview
Therapy can be a really helpful way to address challenges in life. My approach to therapy is warm and collaborative. We’ll work together to figure out a process that works for you. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches and my priority is to make sure you feel heard, understood, and accepted. I have a particular interest in working with queer, transgender, and nonbinary children and adults. I’m also invested in working with immigrants, third culture kids, and those exploring questions of cultural identity. As a social worker, I attend closely to the ways our social contexts can create additional suffering through racism, sexism, and other forms of oppression. When needed, I draw on my background in mediation, negotiation, and career coaching to help clients negotiate career moves and navigate work-related dilemmas. I work with individuals of all ages and provide support and guidance for parents of the children in my practice. I’m not in-network with any insurance plans, however I will provide the documentation necessary for you to use your out-of-network benefits. Feel free to contact me with questions or if you would like to schedule an initial consultation.
