Therapist Overview
Many people struggle with living a peaceful, satisfied, fulfilled life; existing as oppose to living. Living consist of being one’s “best self,” with best being defined by the individual. Although, biological, traumatic, and negative experiences may encourage self-defeating behaviors and thoughts, such experiences are not who a person is. Counseling presents a challenging journey through such experiences to discovering and understanding one’s self to increase one’s quality of life. I am a multicultural sensitive counselor, specializing in couples therapy, grief counseling, and women’s trauma. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Georgia and twice ordained pastor with a Master’s of Arts in Professional Counseling, a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology, and a Associate of Arts Degree in Administration. Do you characterize yourself as failing or a failure? Well, “failure is not final,” but an open door to learning and gaining understanding and wisdom of oneself. I endeavor to encourage and motivate my clients to take the appropriate steps in crossing the threshold to discover their “authentic self” and increase their quality of life.
