I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and my master’s of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis I have experience working with children and families in the child welfare system, sexual abuse survivors, addiction, domestic violence survivors, LGBTQIA+ youth, couples, and families. I also have experience working with a variety of mental health diagnoses, including, but not limited to, Depression, Anxiety, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar I & II . I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities depending on the needs of the client. Modalities that I use include, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Trust Based Relational Intervention, a variety of theories of addiction, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and Psychodynamic therapy. I became a therapist because I believe in the healing powers of connection. The saying “no man is an island” is cliche, but true. I believe in every single person’s ability to heal, grow, and accomplish their goals, but it is vital to have support, empathy, and guidance during these processes.
