Therapist Overview

My focus as a therapist is to create a comfortable and safe space for clients to work towards their goals. It may also be part of the therapy process to explore what those goals are. The decision to begin or re-engage in therapy can feel overwhelming. It is important to me build a strong alliance with my clients so that they feel supported and strengthened to address aspects of their life that cause distress or discomfort. With individuals, I help to increase insight into undesirable patterns, address relationship difficulties, and cope with life stressors and transitions. I work with couples to help them develop skills to build connection and increase healthy communication as well as help partners to process and heal from hurt and betrayal in the relationship. I seek to collaborate with clients in a way that is warm and strengths-based. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities in my practice, drawing on my education and training, to best serve the client’s needs and I tailor my approach to address what brings them to therapy.
