Therapist Overview
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist who works with adolescents, their parents, and families. The adolescent stage involves leaving childhood and transitioning into adulthood. For the adolescent and all who orbit their world, it’s a time full of potential and possibility. It can also be challenging to navigate all of these changes, and natural to need support. It is valuable to find a compassionate, respectful, non-judgemental environment in which to explore this transition. I provide this as I understand the courage it takes to go to someone for help and I honor the process of therapy. Some of the areas I address with teens include; anxiety, stress, peer pressure, social media, managing impulses, problem solving, and body image issues. I focus on helping you gain insight, take action, problem solve and use discernment in making choices that support what you want. I help parents find bridges of connection to teens in times of conflict. I am a mother of two teens. I love my work. The passion I have for my work comes, in part, from having experienced the value of self discovery first hand.
