I work to help you process the difficult memories and feelings that have you feeling stuck, while also focusing on your strengths and resiliency. I believe that lasting change is created through the process of self-acceptance and recognition of one’s own strengths and resiliency, as well as the development & strengthening of your personal relationships. Your struggles do not define you. They are simply areas in your life that need to be acknowledged. **I am also trained in traumatic/sudden grief loss. My counseling style is compassionate, conversational & creative. Therapy is tailored to meet your unique needs. I believe the therapeutic relationship should be collaborative, where I provide my professional expertise & experiences while recognizing that you are the expert about yourself. When appropriate, I will help you process unresolved grief & trauma. Together we will become a team. I will work to create a secure space to explore your struggles, tap into your inherent strengths & empower change. I offer compassion and understanding, while helping you find ways to offer the same to yourself. Starting therapy can feel intimidating and scary. I will work at your pace so that you feel comfortable & seen.
