When faced with difficult challenges our emotional, physical, and mental health is impacted. The impacts of life transitions, past traumas, and stress can show up in our lives as anger, depression, anxiety, behavioral concerns, and relationship issues. Therapy can be helpful to individuals by allowing space to learn to identify emotions as well as learn tools to manage symptoms. If you’re struggling to manage unhelpful thoughts or behaviors centering around anxiety, body image, depression, life changes, self-esteem, self-harm, and stress management I would urge you to consider therapy. I’ve practiced strengths-based counseling in the Lansing area for over 15 years. I’ve provided community-based family counseling, worked as a behavioral health consultant in a pediatric primary health care setting, and partnered with community agencies to provide Evidence Based Treatments utilizing DBT, CBT, and TFCBT modes of treatment. It is a privilege to hear another person’s life story.
