Therapist Overview
I specialize in treating college students and young adults in their twenties (ages 18+). My background includes several years of experience working in higher education; helping students overcome the challenges that today’s emerging adults are faced with. I myself was a first-generation college student, and I know firsthand just how difficult this time in one’s life can be. The American College Health Association’s Fall 2018 National College Health Assessment reports that 63% of undergraduate students in the US report experiencing intense anxiety in the past year. Anxiety and depression can be tough to manage, especially when you add in the stress of academics, relationships, finances, low self-esteem, uncertainty about the future, and self-discovery. If you’re finding yourself feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope with all that you have going on in your life, counseling can help you. I focus on helping my clients gain evidence-based tools and coping skills to successfully meet their goals and overcome their challenges. This time in your life is full of opportunities for growth and self-development. If you’re ready to bloom into a happier, healthier, version of yourself, I’m ready to help you! *All sessions via telehealth due to Covid-19*
