Therapist Overview
**CURRENTLY FULL** In practicing social work, I have maintained a commitment to these driving ideas – “if not us, then who?” “if not now, then when?” We are the “experts” that others look to for improving lives and decreasing the impact and burden of adverse events and circumstances. No therapist has a magic wand, but together we can explore and reshape the things that hold you back. If you commit to treatment with me, you can expect to build skills in distress tolerance, expand your emotional awareness and build your protective factors (social supports, coping skills, sense of purpose, self esteem and healthy thinking). We will work together to enhance your motivation to change some things, improve your communication (what you say and how you hear); decrease your fear of uncomfortable feelings – especially anxiety; and live more at peace with your trauma. **Currently not accepting new clients. However, you can go to www.amhersttherapy.org to make an appointment with a therapist in our practice who may have immediate openings.**
