Therapist Overview
As a marriage and family therapist, I believe struggles are part of a larger system. Relationships in the past and present affect how we see ourselves and the world around us, both positively and negatively. My approach to therapy is to join you in your journey to “connect the dots” of your life experiences in order to understand the present. Having been in the counseling field for over seven years, I have experience working with couples, families as well as individual women and men with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and other life stressors. I use a variety of approaches in therapy, but tend to focus on helping find solutions that work for the couple, family, or individual based on their needs. This can typically look like empowering parents to communicate more effectively, clarifying wants, needs, and expectations within a couple, or gaining clarity on life’s direction in general. I believe you are the expert of your life story and have the ability to effect change. My hope is to create a space where you feel free to be open and comfortable to work toward your goals. I look forward to working with you!
