It can be both rewarding and vulnerable to begin or continue therapy: I create a warm, non-judgmental space for reworking old patterns that may not serve you anymore. Life experiences, environment, circumstances, and cultural systems of power all shape our understanding of ourselves, of others, and of the world around us. Together we can explore what matters to you most, where you may feel stuck and how you can find more ease. To inform our work, I primarily draw on your history and relational experiences, your own body’s feedback, information from contemporary neuroscience, and our in-session interactions. I frequently work with family of origin concerns, and clients negotiating marginalized and/or privileged identities. Among other areas of practice, I have expertise in mood improvement, insight growth, anxiety, perfectionism, grief, learning disabilities, and issues specific to LGBTQIA identity, activists, and first-generation and transfer college students. Clients share that our time together allows them the space to feel safe, seen and understood. Many find that the work deepens self-awareness, allowing meaningful risks and fostering stronger relationships.
