Therapist Overview

I am certain that no amount of research or birthing classes can prepare a person for the challenges of parenthood. As a mother myself, I understand some of the difficulties that come during the perinatal time period. Having the support you need can make a positive impact during this unique time. In therapy you can find a nonjudgmental space for processing and support. As a therapist I hope to encourage and empower those who are experiencing infertility, pregnancy loss, pregnancy, and postpartum. I use a relational therapeutic model with a focus on the mind-body connection. I have studied under Penny Simkin and her colleagues on the impact that past trauma can have on a pregnant and postpartum person. I believe therapy can give us the opportunity to rediscover ourselves in a new way. Real change is possible and the therapeutic relationship is one of the ways to cultivate that change. Thank you for your consideration, please contact me for a free 20 minute phone consultation.
