It is a privilege for me to participate in my clients’ efforts to grow, change unproductive patterns, and build healthier, more satisfying lives. Whether a person suffers from anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, the pain of divorce, or simply needs help navigating life’s transitions, the relationship built in therapy allows understanding, exploration and transformation to take place. I help individuals, couples, and families in crisis as well as working with those who seek enduring change and significant self-awareness. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Southern California, and the Ph.D. from the University of Nevada at Reno. I completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in child and adult clinical psychology at the Menninger Clinic. After working as a staff psychologist at Topeka State Hospital and being an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Washburn University, I have been in private practice in northeast Kansas since 1988. I opened my practice in Lawrence in 2006.
