My goal is always to create a safe, accepting and comfortable environment, which can foster growth in self-awareness and self-acceptance. I believe to make lasting progress in therapy, it is important to establish a strong therapeutic relationship with the client through genuine understanding, empathy and unconditional positive regard. I have experience with substance abuse, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, impulse-control disorders and issues related to self-esteem and life changes. My general counseling approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is an approach that targets and challenges your thinking patterns and how these influence your emotions and behaviors.
