Therapist Overview
The clients I work with have often experienced profound changes in their mood or behavior, suddenly or gradually. They don’t feel like themselves. Their anxiety may not go away. They’re stuck or simply not happy in their current life choices. I help clients identify unhealthy patterns and triggers to distress. In our time together, clients develop skills to interrupt unhelpful or unwanted patterns in thought, mood and behavior. My clients are often looking to improve relationships, work toward goals and reduce stress. They want to gain healthy coping skills and learn positive reframing to improve functioning and stability. I use a variety of skills-based interventions to address difficult thought patterns, increase interpersonal effectiveness, and improve emotional regulation so clients can feel more balanced. Cognitive-behavioral approaches may be used to address persistent changes in mood, trauma or relationship distress that interfere with living a healthy, productive life. I enjoy learning about my clients and working with them to achieve their goals. Getting to know my clients and each person’s unique background is both enjoyable and rewarding. I believe people have the ability to change, grow and overcome. It is an honor to be a part of the process.
